travel cruising the world li river riverboat china

During the New Years week in 1991, Lynn and I travelled with friends to Hong Kong.
While many of the others decided to visit some Chineese schools and go shopping, I was looking for some more adventure.
I was able to arrange a flight 400 miles into China to Guilin where I set up a riverboat cruise down the famous Li River.

Aside from two couples from Australia, we were the only caucasians on the ship.
It was one the most exotic and enjoyable water journey I have ever experienced...
